HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning online method for the BLS course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session. Designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Recommended for: EMTs, Firefighters, Police Officers, Paramedics, Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Dental Hygenists, Nursing Students, Pharmacists.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Class covers:

• Adult, Child, and Infant CPR
• How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) & Special Considerations
• Unconscious and Conscious Choking for victims of all ages
• Cardiopulmonary Emergencies and Special Resuscitation Situations
• Breathing Barriers, Bag Valve Masks, and 2 Rescuer CPR

Those who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a live in person skills validation session with an AHA BLS instructor at When Seconds Count, Inc. An AHA course completion eCard will be issued when both parts have been successfully completed. When Seconds Count, Inc. which is a Nationally Recognized AHA Training Center.
